Trakia University – Stara Zagora, Bulgaria – is an autonomous state institution. The teaching staff includes 227 professors and associated professors and 419 non-academically ranked teachers. The university has more than 6000 students, including 300 foreign students from 16 countries.
The Department for Information and In-service Teacher Training (DIITT) is an autonomous part of Trakia University. It provides services in the areas of improving the qualification of teachers and administrative staff engaged in education; science development; DIITT offers training for teachers in different levels of education – from kindergarten to high school.
DIITT provides short-term trainings and long term qualifications in topics such as methods of training; training in methodological and didactical issues in teaching school subjects; management of teachers’ career development; child and school psychology for educators, organization of educational processes; The short-term trainings include (but are not limited to) – working with non-motivated students, establishing and maintaining positive educational environment, multicultural education, bullying and why everyone has a part in preventing it, stress-management and emotional intelligence, couching in education, social and emotional education for all, and many others. DIITT organizes an annual pedagogical forum which has become a recognizable place for educators, policy makers- on local, national and European level. The Department publishes a quarterly e-journal with articles and reviews on topics in pedagogy and psychology. The articles are published in Bulgarian, Russian or English.
Center for Creative Training Association (Bulgaria)
Center for Creative Training Association (CCTA) is a non-profit organisation working for quality change in training and education – a change towards more practical education, which effectively develops key competences and enhances learners’ potential for successful professional and social realization. The Association is active in both formal and non-formal education.
CCTA’s work is focused on lifelong learning, with emphasis on teacher training and youth initiatives.
The Center has 15 in-service teacher training programs endorsed by the Ministry of Education and Science and listed in the National register for the approved training programs for pedagogical specialists. Among the topics of the programs are such dedicated to tackling the early school leaving, creative methods for integration in the multicultural classrooms, educational environment supporting learning.
CCTA is initiator and active participant in projects, addressing the teachers’ qualification and the needs of the students and young learners. In addition to a number of successfully implemented international projects and initiatives, supported by LLP and Erasmus+ program, CCTA works on topics related to the education and integration of children from the national minorities and collaborated on projects, funded by the governmental Centre for Educational Integration of Children and Students from Ethnic Minorities (CEICSEM).

Centre for Resilience and Socio-Emotional Health, University of Malta
The University of Malta is the highest teaching institution in Malta, consisting of 33 faculties, centres and institutes. It is a publicly funded institution, the only university in the country, and is open to all those who have the requisite qualifications. In the past decades it has reviewed its structures in order to be in line with the Bologna process and the European Higher Education Area. It has over 11,000 students including over 1000 foreign/exchange students from nearly 60 different countries.
The Centre for Resilience and Social and Emotional Health at the University of Malta seeks to develop and promote social and emotional health and resilience in children and young people. It operates as a transdisciplinary research centre tapping into the various strands of research and expertise provided by the different disciplines in the field, and conducts research and development work in the area, seeking to address local and national needs while contributing to knowledge in the international domain. The Centre has led and participated in various local, European and international research projects in the promotion of children’s and young people’s wellbeing, mental health and resilience. In 2015 it published a European curriculum on the promotion of resilience in early years and primary schools (RESCUR Surfing the Waves) developed with five other European partners as part of an EU funded three year programme. It also coordinated an Erasmus+ project on the development of a European Masters in Resilience Education with five other European partners, and is currently a partner in two other Erasmus + projects on mental health promotion and resilience in school.
The Centre publishes the International Journal of Emotional Education, an international, online, open access, peer reviewed journal. Besides conducting and publishing nationall, European and international research, it also seeks to develop and promote empirically-grounded and theoretically-sound intervention and prevention strategies in the area, disseminate knowledge and promote learning and teaching about best practices and relevant research in socio-emotional health and resilience, and provide research-based education and training to educators and other professionals at local and cross-European levels.

National Center for Policy and Evaluation in Education (NCPEE), Romania

The National Center for Policy and Evaluation in Education (NCPEE) is a public organisation affiliated to the Ministry of Education and Research and its basic activity is financed by the public budget.
CNPEE was established in April 2020 by merging two institutions supporting the education system in Romania, namely the Institute of Education Sciences and respectively the National Center for Evaluation and Examination. Currently the Unit for Research in Education (UCE) of the NCPEE includes the former Institute for Educational Sciences (IES). As a national body for research and development in education, UCE aims to put forth the education policies and decisions by the scientific studies and data, to analyse needs and issues of the educational system in Romania, to participate on international research projects in the field of education. Today, NCPEE / UCE is developing projects and partnerships in co-operation with national and European institutions, such as: European Commission, UNICEF, UNESCO, IBE, Council of Europe, OECD, World Bank, Open Society Institute, European Training Foundation etc.
Recent research topics in relation with the educational environment: gender dimension in education, school violence, communication and relations between generations, education within the family, informal education and mass-media, communication competencies in compulsory education, learning motivation and social success, using the ICT in career counseling, lifelong guidance needs analyses, monitoring system of graduates from LLG perspective.
Experience of the staff specialised in career counselling include: designing, implementation and evaluation of researches in the area of lifelong guidance and counseling, teacher training, ICT based guidance and counselling systems, working with children, adolescents and youth at risk (poverty, HIV/AIDS, drug abuse).
